About the Role
- Position: Band Coach (Rock and Pop Music Teacher)
- Hours: Monday – Friday, daytime only
- Location: Teaching at multiple schools in Alton and surrounding areas (Basingstoke, Liphook & Farnborough). You must have a full UK driving license and access to a car.
- Musical Talent: Ability to play at least two of the following: drums, keyboard, guitar, or vocals, with good all-round musical knowledge.
- Driving: Valid driving license and access to your own car.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisation and IT skills to manage your schedule effectively.
- Passion and Confidence: Love for music and ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
- Reliability: Dependable and committed to high-quality music education.
- Communication Skills: Excellent at building relationships and communicating effectively.
Salary: Currently £26,000, increasing to £27,000 from November
Additional Earnings: Band Coaches can earn +£1,500 OTE through performance bonuses (up to £32,500 in future)
Holiday: 11 weeks fully paid school holidays
Travel: 45p per business mile, plus motor assistance program
Start date: October 2025

What You\’ll Do
- Deliver Rock and Pop Band Sessions to children in up to 10 primary schools weekly.
- Teach multiple instruments in a band setting, demonstrating proficiency in at least two.
- Build strong relationships with parents, schools, and the community.
- Support pupils in their first live performances.
- Handle administrative tasks (~30 minutes daily).
- Help children achieve entry-level qualifications within the RSL structure.
- Engage actively in loading/unloading equipment for sessions.
- Participate in summer holiday camps during school breaks.
