iRock School of Music is a nationally recognised, award‑winning organisation bringing rock and pop music into primary schools across the UK. Every week, tens of thousands of children take part in our lively band sessions, boosting their confidence, creativity and teamwork, and helping them discover a genuine love for music. As a Regional Cover Music Teacher, you’ll play a key role in making sure every school gets the full iRock experience, even when their regular Band Coach is away. Your work will help children build confidence and enjoy school more, leaving a positive impact that lasts long after the lesson is over.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver fun and engaging rock and pop band lessons to primary‑aged children in different schools across the region
- Step into cover lessons when a Band Coach is unavailable, ensuring classes still enjoy a smooth and exciting iRock session
- Reassure schools by being a reliable, friendly face they can count on when regular coach is unavailable
- When not covering, visit band coaches in person to offer support, guidance and a helping hand
- Assist the operations team with occasional field tasks to help keep the lessons running smoothly
About You
- Competent on at least two instruments (Drums, Guitar, Keys and Vocals)
- Confident, warm and energetic, with the ability to build trust quickly
- Comfortable travelling long distances and happy to stay away from home when needed
- An adaptable communicator who relates well to different people and environments
- Physically comfortable setting up and moving musical equipment throughout the day
- Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle (essential)
