The Transport Planner is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day planning of a dedicated portion of the IT fleet. This includes maintaining agreed service levels, maximising vehicle utilisation, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Main Responsibilities:
- Efficient planning and routing of the fleet of vehicles to ensure maximum profitability
- Communicating with drivers, customers, and sub-contractors
- Accurately processing jobs using transport management software
- Providing quotations for customers
- Assisting drivers with job information and troubleshooting issues
- Ensuring driver compliance with working time and hours regulations
- Ensuring all vehicles comply with relevant legislation
- Rotating vehicles to optimise productivity and efficiency
- Planning vehicles for inspections, servicing, and repairs as required
- Maintaining agreed service levels, vehicle utilisation, and customer satisfaction
