We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Sales Executive to sell our Warehouse and Haulage services within our Midlands-based business. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, and maximising warehouse occupancy by selling pallet spaces to manufacturers, distributors, importers, and retailers. This is a results-driven role suited to a confident salesperson with experience in logistics, warehousing, or B2B services.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell pallet storage space to new and existing customers
- Proactively generate leads via cold calling, email outreach, networking, and referrals
- Identify customers with short-term and long-term storage requirements
- Prepare and negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements
- Maximise warehouse utilisation and pallet occupancy levels
- Upsell services offered by the wider group, haulage, 2 x man etc
Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers
- Understand customer supply chain and storage needs
- Act as the main point of contact from enquiry through onboarding
- Work closely with warehouse and Haulage operations to ensure smooth service delivery
Market & Commercial Awareness
- Monitor local market conditions, competitors, and pricing trends
- Identify opportunities for upselling related services (handling, transport, value-added services)
- Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts
Collaboration & Reporting
- Liaise with warehouse managers and operations teams
- Provide regular sales activity and performance reports
- Ensure all sales activities align with company policies and capacity constraints
Key Requirements
Essential
- Proven B2B sales experience (logistics, warehousing, transport, or industrial services preferred)
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Confident communicator with a professional manner
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and results-focused
- Ability to understand warehouse capacity and commercial pricing models
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience selling pallet storage or warehouse space
- Knowledge of ambient warehousing operations
- Existing contacts within manufacturing, retail, or distribution sectors
- CRM system experience
