Job Description
- Transport Planner (Nights)
- 4 on 4 off
- Widnes
The Transport Planner (Nights) will be responsible for the route planning of HGVs, and tracking of shipments, updating Drivers, customers and stake holders in the business on the night shift.The key responsibilities for the role of Transport Planner based in Widnes will be:
- Effective planning of drivers, through on-going communication and using transport software.
- Controlling and planning vehicles, drivers, trailers.
- Ensuring all legal requirements (Working Time Directive and EU drivers’ hours regulations) are adhered to.
- Understanding and achieving KPIs relating to the safety and efficiency of the fleet (including utilisation and costing).
- Constantly communicate with the customer service teams and drivers to ensure customer KPI’s and targets are achieved and maintained.
The successful candidate for the role of Transport Planner based in Widnes will have:
- Experience in transport planning.
- Good knowledge of Driver's hours and WTD.
- Good knowledge of transport compliance.
- Experience using transport planning systems.
The successful candidate for the role of Transport Planner based in Widnes will receive:
- A salary of £35,000 p/a.
- A working schedule of 4 on 4 off on Nights.
