Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of Specialised equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively with various tools and equipment. The Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on GSE's (Ground Servicing Equipment), ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and techniques.
- Perform equipment repairs, including soldering and welding as necessary.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Fabricate parts or components as required to meet repair needs.
- Operate forklifts safely for the movement of materials and vehicles within the workshop.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time taken.
- Ensure that the workshop is kept clean, organised, and safe at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics.
- Experience in welding and fabrication is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts safely within a workshop environment.
