Financial Director

A long-established yet fast-growing engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a Finance Director to join its senior leadership team. The business has experienced significant expansion, with continued investment, new contracts, and a strong forward order book.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to operations, understands the pace of a production environment, and wants to help shape the financial strategy of a business entering its next phase of growth.

The Role

You will have full ownership of the finance function, providing clarity, oversight, and commercial insight to the Board. This is a hands‑on role that requires a consistent presence on site and strong collaboration across operational, technical and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting and cash‑flow control.
• Provide strategic financial guidance to the senior leadership team.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance and financial processes.
• Partner with operational teams to understand project costings, margins and commercial performance.
• Manage, mentor and develop a small finance team.
• Support commercial tenders, pricing and long‑term planning.

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Experience within manufacturing, engineering, production or fast‑paced operational sectors.
• Strong commercial mindset with the ability to influence at senior level.
• Comfortable in a hands‑on, agile environment with constant change and improvement.
• Able to work on‑site full time.
