Job Purpose
To work as part of an inspiring and fast-paced team, supporting internal departments while developing and maintaining professional relationships with external customers to help deliver national sales targets and meet supply chain demand. The role requires adherence to compliance requirements and established ways of working, ensuring systems are kept fully up to date and identifying opportunities for improvements where appropriate. Personal development is actively encouraged, and the successful candidate should demonstrate a strong desire to develop both knowledge and skills. This is a hybrid role requiring office attendance three days per week, with two days working from home. This arrangement is subject to change and may increase to four days in the office depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Supply Chain Support
- Support the achievement of national sales targets and supply chain demand
- Provide relevant quotations and seek new business opportunities
- Research and develop new business opportunities to grow the supply chain
- Develop and maintain a strong prospect pipeline
- Assist in coordinating and planning daily material movements in collaboration with internal departments including transport and site operations
- Liaise with internal and external hauliers to obtain competitive quotes and book loads for material movements
- Oversee and manage supply chain activities for relevant operational sites
- Provide customer support and maintain strong customer relationships
- Respond to customer enquiries efficiently and in a timely manner
- Manage incoming sales calls and provide cover during lunch breaks, holidays, and sickness where required
- Obtain necessary compliance documentation and proof of delivery from suppliers
- Manage and update ticketing systems to ensure records remain accurate and compliant
- Ensure all outstanding tickets are checked and resolved on a weekly basis
- Maintain internal documentation, databases, SharePoint systems, and processes
- Provide administration support as directed by the line manager or wider senior leadership team
- Liaise with the Finance department where required
- Monitor relevant market activity and share insights with the line manager and senior leadership team

Development and Support

A mobile learning management system is available to allow training to be accessed at a time and place that suits you. Compliance training will also be required to ensure safe and legal operations.
Additional Information
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Working hours to be agreed with the line manager.
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working with a minimum of three days in the office (subject to change) and two days working from home (subject to change).
Notice Period: One calendar month.
