Irlam Associates is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join a busy logistics operation in Wimblington. Working on a 4 on / 4 off night shift, you will plan and manage nationwide freight movements, allocate drivers and vehicles, and ensure smooth operations while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate and monitor daily workloads for drivers and vehicles.
- Update and adjust transport plans in response to operational changes.
- Ensure compliance with driver hours, tachograph rules, and fleet efficiency.
- Conduct driver briefings/debriefs and handovers between shifts.
- Manage operational costs, monitor revenue, and support reporting.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.

- Experience in a Transport Planner / Operator role within logistics.
