We are hiring Passenger Drivers (COBUS) at Bristol Airport, to assist in the day to day transportation of passengers to the main terminals!
Salary: £13.25 per hour to begin, £14.35 per hour once passed training (£30,000+ per year)
Shift pattern: 4on 4off Days/Nights/Late (12hrs shifts)
Key Responsibilities:- Driving COBUS vehicles (specialist airside buses) to transport passengers, including those with reduced mobility (PRM), between the aircraft and terminal.
- Ensuring safe boarding and disembarking of passengers in compliance with aviation and safety regulations.
- Maintaining excellent communication with ground crew, dispatchers, and airport control to ensure timely and coordinated operations.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks (fuel, lights, brakes, etc.) and reporting any defects or maintenance needs.
- Adhering to strict airside safety procedures, speed limits, and airport security protocols at all times.
- Providing excellent customer service, especially during delays or disruptions, and assisting passengers as needed.
- Completing log sheets and paperwork accurately for each shift.
- Assisting in marshalling duties, baggage handling, or minor ramp tasks when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence, often with Category D or D1 preferred (PCV).
- Airside driving permit or willingness to undergo airside driving training.
- Prior experience in airport operations, transport, or customer service is beneficial.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work early, late, night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
