Somerville Fit-Out is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Joiner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in crafting and assembling high-quality joinery products for various client projects. As a Workshop Joiner, you will work closely with our design and production teams to ensure the quality and precision is met.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from detailed manufacturing drawings / specifications to create bespoke joinery items.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials using a variety of tools and state-of-the-art machinery.
- Assemble, fit, and finish joinery products to a high standard, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work with other joiners on the team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Conduct quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a joiner, preferably within a workshop environment.
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification in joinery or carpentry.
- Proven track record of producing high-quality joinery work.
- Proficiency in using a wide range of joinery tools and machinery.
- Strong understanding of joinery techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret complex manufacturing drawings and specifications.
