JOB TITLE:Support Worker – Learning Disability/Mental Health LOCATION: Woodbank House POST: Reserve List for Permanent/Temporary, Part-time/Full-TIme for Woodbank House Woodbank House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mental health issues. It is situated centrally within Omagh. Woodbank House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent And 6 months experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/ mental healthissues. MustbecurrentlyregisteredwithNISCCorifnew tothe sector mustachieve registration within 6 months. Previous experience in administrative duties. Or 2 years\’ experience in a formal care /support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/ Mental Health issues. Must be currently registered with NISCC or if new to the sector must achieve registration within 6 months Previous experience in administrative duties. Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification. *Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers\’ Allowance. Formal Care / Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting. This is a regulated post and will be subject to a satisfactory Access NI check. WHY WORK FOR APEX?
