We're Hiring: Support Worker Keady, Northern Ireland

Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Sleep-in Enhancement: Β£63.70 per night
Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is looking for a passionate and caring Support Worker to join our incredible team in Keady. This is more than just a job; it's a chance to truly make a difference in the lives of people with learning disabilities.
What You'll Do:
- As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals live as independently as possible.
- Your support will be tailored to each person's unique needs and could include:
- Assisting with personal care, daily routines, and household tasks
- Promoting independence, dignity, and choice
- Providing emotional support and encouragement
- Supporting with community engagement, appointments, and activities
- Being a friendly, trusted companion and advocate
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for supporting others
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Empathetic, patient, and positive attitude
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Shift Patterns:
- Our services run 24/7, and rotas are shared at least 4 weeks in advance so you can plan ahead.
- Day Shifts: Between 07:00 - 22:00
- Sleep-in Shifts: 22:00 - 07:00 (Flat rate of Β£62.45 per sleep-in)
Additional Information:
- This role is subject to an Enhanced Access NI check, NISCC registration, and suitable references.
- Please note: While Mencap is a licensed sponsor, we are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role due to a high volume of internal sponsorship applications.
