VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading global manufacturer within the materials handling and bulk conveying sector to recruit a Regional Sales Manager (Rest of World). This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in capital equipment, industrial machinery or engineering solutions who enjoys developing international markets and building strong distributor relationships. The successful candidate will take ownership of sales across a global territory, working closely with distributors, key accounts and internal teams to drive sustainable growth, strengthen market presence and support the continued expansion of an internationally recognised product range.

The Role

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve year-on-year growth across international markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors while identifying and onboarding new partners in underrepresented territories.
  • Manage sales forecasting, pipeline reporting and demand planning to support business objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements, providing commercial insight to influence business strategy.
  • Prepare and deliver commercial proposals, presentations and business cases to distributors, end users and key corporate accounts.
  • Coordinate dealer development initiatives, sales support programmes and aftersales activities to maximise customer engagement.
  • Deliver product training and commercial support to distributor sales teams.
  • Support new product launches, pricing initiatives and the implementation of commercial strategies across international markets.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Product Development teams to ensure customer requirements are translated into practical solutions.
  • Manage dealer performance, order patterns, backlog scheduling and commercial performance across your territory.
  • Represent the business at international exhibitions, demonstrations, seminars and customer events.
  • Provide regular reporting on sales activity, forecasting, market intelligence and business development opportunities.

About You

  • A degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in business development or international B2B sales within capital equipment, industrial machinery or engineered products.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop business plans, analyse market opportunities and drive profitable growth.
  • Experience managing distributor networks and developing international sales channels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and financial awareness with experience managing forecasts and sales pipelines.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
