Park Operative urgently required to work within the Belfast City Council, based in Woodvale Road, The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday 7.30am until 3.30pm and Friday 7.30am until 3pm. The hourly rate is Β£13.91. Initially this position will be for 3 months on a temporary basis with possibility of an extension based on job performance. Main Duties To maintain buildings, including cleaning (sweeping, mopping, and dusting), moving equipment and materials To carry out horticultural and minor arboriculture operations and maintenance, for example, the planting of trees, shrubs, and plants Inspecting playgrounds, play equipment and parks furniture including the undertaking of some minor repairs To load, unload vehicles and move equipment and materials such as mowers, barrows, plants, soil, and fertilisers To drive and be responsible for any allocated vehicle and trailer and any authorised passengers What We Need From You Possess a full, current C1+E driving licence Possess a full, current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) 1 year experience undertaking gardening and horticulture duties, such as, working with plants, including their care and treatment, grass cutting Experience using powered hand tools Previous experience dealing with member of the public What We Will Offer You Weekly pay Opportunity to work in the public sector The Next Steps Contact Kayleigh Edgar at First Choice Selection Services Apply via the link First Choice is an equal opportunities employer Skills: building maintenance minor repairs moving equipment inspecting loading and unloading vehicles driving
