The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on cutting-edge telematics and cloud-based systems. This is a unique opportunity to work across the full technology stack, from embedded device software through to cloud infrastructure and customer-facing web applications. You will play a key role in developing connected systems that enable real-time data communication between hardware devices and cloud platforms, contributing directly to innovative, high-impact solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Embedded & Device Development
    • Develop and maintain software for telematics hardware devices
    • Implement reliable communication between devices and cloud systems
    • Debug, optimise, and enhance embedded firmware
  • Cloud & Backend Development
    • Design and build scalable backend services
    • Develop APIs for secure device and application communication
    • Support real-time data processing and cloud integration
  • Frontend / Web Development
    • Build and maintain customer-facing dashboards and portals
    • Develop responsive interfaces for data visualisation
    • Collaborate on UI/UX improvements
  • Full Stack Integration
    • Support end-to-end system architecture
    • Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, and cloud layers
    • Work with hardware suppliers and technology partners
    • Engage with clients to support technical delivery and implementation

About You

You are a versatile software engineer who enjoys working across multiple technologies and solving complex problems. You are comfortable collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and thrive in a dynamic environment.

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, or similar
  • Minimum 3 years professional software development experience
  • Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, or Ruby
  • JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Django, Flask)
  • Full-stack development experience (frontend, backend, databases)
  • Experience with IoT, telematics, or connected devices
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of REST APIs, MQTT, TCP/IP
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
