Responsible for the design, implementation, support and continuous improvement of the organisations IT infrastructure and associated security controls. The role combines hands on infrastructure engineering with embedded security responsibilities, ensuring that systems are available, resilient, secure and compliant with organisational policies and recognised standards (Including ISO 27001 and GDPR aligned controls). The role is operational and technical, supporting day to day infrastructure and security requirements while contributing to projects, audits and CI initiatives.
Essential Criteria:
- 2+ Years experience in an IT Infrastructure or Security Engineering role
- Third level qualification in an IT related subject
- Flexible working essential to be able to deal with issues outside standard business hours / weekends
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP
- Networking Fundamentals (Firewalls, VPNs, Switching, Routing)
- Strong troubleshooting and incident handling skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in Azure and MS 365 security features
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 or security audit process
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response
- Relevant certifications Microsoft, Cisco, Security, ITIL
