REED Technology are delighted to partner with an excellent FMCG organisation who are seeking to hire an IT Infrastructure Engineer. As an IT Enterprise Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure and its associated security controls. This role is perfect for someone who combines hands-on infrastructure engineering with embedded security responsibilities, ensuring that systems are available, resilient, secure, and compliant with organisational policies and recognised standards, including ISO 27001 and GDPR aligned controls.
Duties:
- Engage in infrastructure engineering including core infrastructure, network & connectivity, and cloud & virtualisation.
- Handle security engineering tasks such as security controls, threat detection, incident response, risk management, compliance, audit governance, backup, recovery, and business continuity.
- Support day-to-day infrastructure and security requirements while contributing to projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adapt duties in line with business and technology changes to maintain operational and technical excellence.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in an IT Infrastructure or Security Engineering role.
- Third level education in a relevant field.
- Availability for flexible working hours to address issues outside standard business hours, including weekends.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP.
- Proficiency in networking fundamentals including firewalls, VPNs, switching, and routing.
- Experience supporting security controls and endpoint protection.
- Strong troubleshooting and incident handling skills.
Desirable:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security features.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 or security audit processes.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management and incident response.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Security, ITIL.
