This is a key leadership appointment offering the opportunity to drive branch performance, develop strategic customer relationships, and lead a high-performing team within a well-established and growing business. Key Responsibilities

  • Branch Leadership & Operational Management
    • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of the branch.
    • Lead, motivate, and develop branch employees, creating a high-performance culture focused on customer service and commercial success.
    • Ensure operational efficiency across sales, warehousing, stock control, and customer service functions.
    • Monitor branch KPIs, profitability, and performance metrics, implementing action plans to drive continuous improvement.
    • Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and operational best practice.
    • Manage branch budgets, costs, stock levels, and overall financial performance.
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Develop and execute branch growth strategies to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.
    • Identify and secure new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, and contractor sectors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, major contractors, consultants, and end users.
    • Lead from the front in customer engagement, conducting client visits and supporting strategic sales initiatives.
    • Negotiate commercial agreements and maximise opportunities within existing customer accounts.
    • Monitor local market activity, competitor movements, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Customer & Account Management
    • Act as the senior point of contact for key customers, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
    • Provide technical and commercial guidance on electrical products and solutions.

    • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop branch personnel.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience within the electrical wholesale industry.
  • Previous management experience within a branch, sales office, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical products and solutions.
  • Demonstrable success in business development, account management, and growing sales revenue.
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of branch profitability and performance management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP systems such as Sage 200 would be advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.
