Honeycomb are delighted to be working with the Western Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a temporary Band 4 Finance Officer. This role will be based in Omagh, and will be for 3 months initially.

Location: Tyrone and Fermanagh Hospital, Omagh

Contract: Temporary, 3 months initially

Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am- 5:00pm

Pay rate: Band 4- £14.06 per hour

As Finance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations, reporting and administrative functions within the Finance Department. You will work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure efficient financial processes and accurate financial management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Processing financial assessments and payment information
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and databases
  • Supporting invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and income recovery
  • Assisting with payroll and reimbursement processes
  • Preparing financial reports and spreadsheets
  • Liaising with service users, social workers, care managers, and external agencies
  • Responding to finance-related queries professionally and efficiently
  • Supporting Direct Payment users and financial monitoring processes
  • Supporting audit, fraud prevention, and governance activities
  • Meeting strict financial deadlines and reporting requirements
  • Processing cash receipts and banking
  • Managing petty cash and patient property accounts
  • Recording financial transactions accurately

Essential criteria:

  • CCAB part qualified or equivalent or hold a University degree in Finance, Accounting or Business AND 1 years' experience in a finance role OR 4 years' experience in a finance role

Desirable criteria:

  • 1 years' experience in a HSC Finance Department
