We are working exclusively with a global manufacturing organisation to recruit a Manufacturing Manager for their Omagh facility. This is a senior leadership position reporting directly to the Operations Director and forming part of the site’s leadership team.

The Role:

You will lead a team of engineers, driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale. Your remit will include overseeing new product and process introductions, developing standardised work, implementing lean tools, and managing cross-functional collaboration across production, HSE, and design functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team of engineers with clearly defined objectives.
  • Oversee process design and improvement, manufacturing data accuracy (ERP), and production readiness for new products.
  • Champion lean methodologies (5S, Kaizen, JIT, Kanban, etc.) to eliminate waste and drive efficiency.
  • Support safe working practices and contribute to the HSE steering group.
  • Implement reward and recognition strategies to enhance team morale and engagement.
  • Collaborate with operations to optimise assembly flow and production line efficiency.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Significant leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in lean manufacturing and driving cultural change.
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication, cutting, or welding is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and CAD tools.
