On behalf of my client, I am recruiting for a Civils Site Agent to work on ongoing projects on marine and flood protection schemes ranging from £10M-£50M. The successful candidate will report to the Project Manager and be an integral part of the management team working on the delivery of our projects throughout the UK. They will have a wide and varied remit making full use of their experience and skills as a Site Engineer. This role will be wide-ranging and varied with the opportunity to gain valuable experience and grow within the department.

Responsibilities as Site Agent include:

  • Managing one site or a section of a larger site as part of a wider team, including safety, health, environmental, quality, programme, resource, commercial and contractual aspects.
  • Ensuring compliance with current Health and Safety/CDM legislation, including those of other parties.
  • Ensuring that the project programme is available and communicated to the supply chain prior to work commencing.
  • Managing the work in line with the programme, monitoring progress and updating the programme accordingly, including elements of design and procurement.
  • Chairing subcontractor progress meetings, preparing minutes and circulating.
  • Producing weekly/monthly progress reports as appropriate.
  • Communicating programme risks to the management team and maintaining records for contractual correspondence.

Essential Criteria:

  • BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering or equivalent in a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Willing to work and travel throughout the UK.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience working on marine and/or flood protection projects.
