Manager; Accountancy Practice (Belfast)

The Opportunity I\'m recruiting for a key leadership role within a thriving independent accountancy practice in Belfast. The firm is energetic, client-focused and offers a flat structure where ideas are encouraged and people are supported. They cover all areas of general practice, including accounts, tax, property and corporate finance. This Manager role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of client relationships, overseeing delivery, and supporting a talented team. If I enjoy hands-on work, building strong client connections and being part of a forward-thinking firm - this could be a great next step. This is very much an accounts-heavy role - roughly 90% accounts and 10% audit - perfect for someone who enjoys variety without being audit-led. What you will be doing: Managing your own client portfolio across a range of sectors Leading on year-end accounts, tax and advisory projects Reviewing and signing off work from the team Acting as a trusted advisor - proactively supporting client needs Planning and managing team workload to meet deadlines Playing an active role in developing and mentoring staff Working closely with the directors to contribute to firm growth What you will need: ACA/ACCA qualified with experience in a client-facing practice role A strong technical grounding in accounts and tax Confidence leading client relationships and supporting junior staff Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workflow and deadlines A commercial mindset and interest in spotting opportunities for clients A down-to-earth, team-oriented attitude What you will get in return: A collaborative, supportive culture with no rigid hierarchy Opportunity to grow and diversify experience Exposure to advisory and business-facing work Office-based team with daily collaboration and support Excellent salary, plus paid Christmas closure and enhanced holidays What\'s the next step?
