Ensure compliance with Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001), Quality (ISO 9001), and Environmental (ISO 14001) management systems.

Lead the maintenance team to manage both planned and unplanned maintenance for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and computerised systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001), Quality (ISO 9001), and Environmental (ISO 14001) management systems.
  • Lead the maintenance team to manage both planned and unplanned maintenance for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and computerised systems.
  • Communicate effectively with Directors and team members regarding maintenance activities and progress.
  • Maintain detailed records, including timesheets, repair request forms, and safety checks.
  • Oversee the upkeep of a wide range of equipment, including forklifts, HGVs, vans, and other plant machinery.
  • Manage key safety-related tasks, such as fire safety, hot work permits, and fire safety plans.
  • Conduct regular inspections and servicing of essential equipment like compressors, generators, and mobile plant.
  • Lead PAT testing, fire alarm servicing, emergency lighting tests, and LEV system inspections.
  • Foster a culture of safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Take ownership of security and equipment maintenance when staff are absent from the workshop.
  • Work closely with the Directors to address evolving needs and continuously improve processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A management qualification or a minimum of 2 years of management experience.
  • Proven experience in an industrial maintenance role with Health & Safety (e.g., OHSAS 18001) expertise.
  • Familiarity with Quality (ISO 9001) and Environmental (ISO 14001) procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Practical knowledge of maintenance systems and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with operational excellence tools and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ability to tackle complex challenges.
