What does this role contribute to the Company?
In this role you will be responsible for the movement and storage of materials, goods and products in the right location to feed the business's operational demand, and ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand. Full training will be provided to understand in-house systems/processes.
What we will ask of you:
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Take delivery of goods and supplies and recording of related traceability information, including unloading of deliveries.
- Inspecting all incoming goods for quality/accuracy.
- Check for damaged or missing items.
- Store goods appropriately, ensuring all stock is stored in correct locations.
- Move stock around either by hand, using lifting equipment or a forklift truck.
- Movement of stock between sites.
- Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards.
- Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system.
- Keep accurate stock records.
- Carry out stock counts as and when required.
- Keep paperwork up to date.
- Process all returns and ensure accuracy of records.
- Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.
- Transportation of stock and movement of goods between sites.
- Handle any hazardous materials in an appropriate manner.
- Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
- Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.
- Assisting with supplier related quality issues investigations and nonconforming product disposition.
- Other duties are commensurate with the role.
Ideally you will have the following experience:
- Essential: 6+ months of experience in a similar role e.g., Warehouse, Stores, Dispatch
- HGV Class 2 License
- Ability to demonstrate high level of numeracy and mathematical skills and accuracy in this area.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and use of ERP ICT systems.
- Strong attention to detail, including data input, checking information and form completion.
- Ability to work additional hours when required to support production needs.
Preferred:
- FLT License and experience of operating in similar environment.
- HGV Class 2 License.
- Experience in Manufacturing environment.
