We are partnering with a well-established, award-winning business based in Draperstown, who are seeking to appoint a Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, people-focused organisation where you will gain exposure across a wide range of finance functions. This role offers a varied workload, supporting day-to-day financial operations while assisting with reporting, payroll, and compliance activities within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process purchase payments, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time
  • Reconcile supplier statements, input and allocate payments
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including control accounts and supporting schedules
  • Carry out daily and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end audit processes
  • Support payroll processing activities
  • Assist with VAT, Intrastat and EC Sales submission
  • Handle telephone queries and liaise with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance function as required

Who We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an office-based role (accounts experience desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
  • Experience using accounting software and good IT skills (Excel desirable)
