With operations across multiple European sites and a strong focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence, they are seeking a Group Cost Accountant to join their growing finance team.

Details: £Negotiable salary Monday - Friday: 8am until 5.00 pm / Friday 8.00 am until 12.00 pm 38 hours per week Permanent The Role Reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager, the Group Cost Accountantwill support the delivery of consistent costing methodologies, detailed margin analysis and financial insights that drive strategic business decisions across the organisation's European manufacturing facilities.
You will work closely with finance, operations, engineering, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure product costs are accurately maintained and understood throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain robust costing models across multiple European manufacturing sites.
Analyse product costs, margins, variances, and operational performance to identify trends and opportunities.
Support the annual standard cost-setting process, including labour, material, and overhead rates.
Produce and enhance reporting on production, material, and absorption variances.
Investigate cost variances and work with site teams to implement corrective actions where required.
Support inventory valuation analysis and communicate the financial impact of cost changes.
Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate costing information for new products and ongoing production activities.
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Act as a key user for ERP costing systems, supporting process improvements and data optimisation.
Partner with Continuous Improvement teams to identify and track cost-saving initiatives.
Deliver insightful financial analysis and present findings clearly to management and stakeholders.
About
You: A minimum of 3 years' cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of costing methodologies and cost management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Sound understanding of accounting principles.
Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in manufacturing and operational environments.
The ability to prepare, analyse, and interpret financial reports at all levels.
Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge, influence, and engage stakeholders.
