The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 € per year.

Be part of a team focused on controlling manufactured product quality. Work with Engineering and Production members in the reduction/elimination of scrap and rework.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure that monitoring and measurement equipment required for an inspection or test activity is suitably selected, calibrated and/or validated prior to use.
  • Liaise with the Engineering team to clarify inspection or testing requirements if they are not clear.
  • Support the Goods Inwards team with the inspection of raw materials, components, and associated certification.
  • Support the Production Team with in-process inspection and testing of components being manufactured.
  • Monitor production activities to ensure employees are adhering and conforming to Company procedures.
  • Accept or reject finished components in accordance with the relevant drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Accurately record all inspection and test results and be able to discuss and elaborate on the results when requested.
  • Maintain product traceability and compliance to the required standards.
  • Segregate and identify non-conforming parts from conforming parts to prevent their unintended use and ensure that all product non-conformances are accurately reported with relevant supporting evidence.
  • Support rework activities as and when required.
  • Support problem-solving activities and investigations where product or process non-conformance has been identified.
  • Contribute ideas to quality-led improvement projects that drive for excellence.
  • Establish best practice and develop new inspection techniques working with Quality Engineers and Quality Manager.
  • Support overall Quality performance.
  • Comply with all Health & Safety requirements.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Gauge R&R studies as directed by engineers or technicians.
  • Support FAIR/PPAP submissions as required.
  • Assist in gathering, analysing, and trending of data.
  • May train other inspection & production staff on the use of equipment and inspection processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing, engineering and/or quality-controlled environment.
  • An excellent eye for detail - the successful applicant may also be required to pass colour blindness and eyesight tests.
  • Maths and Literacy skills (Spoken/written English).
  • CMM or Faro arm experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and interpreting Engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Competent with manual inspection processes using equipment such as micrometres, Verniers, height gauges, thread gauges etc.
  • Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 3C, PDCA, Cause & Effect diagram, 5-Why, control plans, 5S, Pareto.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and under own initiative with the ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required to support business needs.
  • Excellent timekeeping.
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft IT Packages i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Other Duties

  • Perform work of a miscellaneous nature as required.
  • Support all company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and other regulatory requirements.

Work Hours

This job will be mainly dayshift: Day Shift 0700-1500hrs Monday to Thursday and 0530-1200hrs Friday.
