CNC Operator Lisburn, Northern Ireland | Full-Time | Competitive Salary + Overtime
Join Datum Tool Design in Lisburn. Datum Tool Design is a leading precision engineering company supplying high-quality components to the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth and increased production demand, we are seeking a reliable and skilled CNC Operator to join our team at our Lisburn facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, clean, and well-equipped machining environment producing precision aerospace components to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate 3 & 5-axis CNC machining centres
- Load and run proven CNC programs
- Carry out tool changes and offsets as required
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Perform in-process inspection using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)
- Ensure components meet strict tolerance and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work closely with programmers and quality personnel
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience operating CNC machines in a precision engineering environment
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Knowledge of measuring equipment and inspection processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Good work ethic and team-focused attitude
- Open to shift work
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience within the aerospace sector
- Experience operating 5-axis machines
- Experience operating CNC machines with Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
