This role sits within a dedicated team responsible for risk mitigation and operational compliance across environmental and health and safety domains. Core Responsibilities Oversee compliance with internal risk standards and ensure adherence to relevant workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations. Track and analyse key compliance indicators and contribute to regular performance reporting and site audits. Coordinate site-level risk committees and lead operational safety briefings with cross-functional teams. Manage internal workflows for incident reporting, including documentation and follow-up with relevant departments. Maintain and refine procedures relating to operational safety, environmental impact, and employee wellbeing. Actively contribute to projects targeting workplace risk reduction and sustainable operational practices. Conduct investigations into reported hazards, environmental breaches, or incidents, ensuring accurate analysis and follow-up. Engage with regulatory bodies, insurers, and occupational health providers as a key point of contact. Evaluate training requirements across the site and deliver sessions aligned with risk awareness and compliance obligations. Collaborate with teams across operations, engineering, and logistics to embed risk control measures into daily activities. Candidate Requirements NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent recognised safety qualification. Previous experience in a risk, safety, or compliance role within an industrial, production, or manufacturing setting. Solid understanding of workplace risk, audit procedures, and relevant legislation. Competency in managing HSE frameworks including incident investigation, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE assessments. Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
