Vickerstock are working in partnership with a specialist manufacturing firm on the appointment of an HSEQ Officer. As the HSEQ Officer, you will be responsible for managing and reviewing the HSEQ systems as well as maintaining and improving the overall HSEQ performance for the company.
In your new role:
- Conduct site audits and inspections in line with legal requirements
- Maintain records of statutory inspections for all activities and equipment
- Submit statutory notifications to HSENI and coordinate inspector visits
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001
- Investigate accidents, submit statutory notifications, and update senior management
- Assist in budgeting for Health & Safety-related costs, including training and equipment
- Manage site-specific RAMS and review subcontractors' documentation
- Maintain and communicate site emergency plans
- Develop quality inspection and test plans and support quality inspections
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure HSEQ compliance across the site
- Work with HR to deliver Health & Safety inductions for employees and contractors
- Organise H&S training sessions and lead Toolbox Talks
What you will need to succeed:
- Experience within a similar Health & Safety role
- Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH)
- Experience with ISO standards and auditing
- Good communication and influencing skills
- IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
- Full driving license
Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):
- Experience within the Manufacturing or Construction industries
- IOSH Membership
- NEBOSH Diploma
- Train the Trainer certifications
