VANRATH is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing employer in Carrickfergus for a Human Resources Officer to join their established HR team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional with a passion for employee relations and coaching to play a key role in delivering consistent and professional HR support across the business. The Role Reporting to the Assistant HR Manager, this role will provide support across a broad range of generalist HR duties with a particular focus on employee relations, absence management, and day-to-day HR advisory services. You\'ll also assist with recruitment, HR reporting, and help drive initiatives around wellbeing and organisational culture. This contract offers a chance to join a highly collaborative team and gain valuable experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Provide advice and support to managers and staff on employee relations issues, including disciplinary, grievance, and absence management. Lead or support onlow-level investigations and provide guidance on HR policy application. Support the recruitment and onboarding process, including chairing interview panels and issuing associated documentation. Maintain and manage employee data and HR systems to produce reports and ensure compliance with internal processes and legislative requirements. Assist with the administration of benefits, HR projects, and health & wellbeing initiatives. Prepare employment correspondence, contracts, and support in maintaining job descriptions. Support the delivery of community engagement initiatives such as school visits, careers talks, and outreach events. What You\'ll Need to Succeed Essential: A relevant third-level qualification and/or CIPD qualification. Minimum of 3 years\' experience in a generalist HR role. Experience handling employee relations issues and supporting line managers through HR processes. Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident using HR systems. Desirable: Experience with PAMS and NorthTime Pro systems. Why Apply?
