If this sounds like you, we welcome you to apply for the position of Events Team Leader at the five-star Culloden Estate & Spa. Supported by our Events Operations Manager, you will help to lead our busy team during the variety of events and functions offered to our guests such as weddings, business conferences, and private gatherings, delivering an exceptional standard of service.

You can expect to be offered a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends, which may include later hours for events such as weddings. Some typical shifts include 6pm-2am, 10am-6pm, and 2pm-10pm. You can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven. The rate of pay for this full-time position is £24,570 per annum, paid weekly.

About The Role:

  • To serve and assist guests attending a wide variety of events in the Hotel, and support other areas when required such as the bar and restaurant.
  • To support with the effective supervision of the events team, to ensure an efficient operation and delivery of events and functions to Hastings service standards and guest expectations.
  • To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
  • To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
  • To assist in ensuring the team receive appropriate training and coaching to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
  • To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • To ensure both you, and the team are knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and are proactive in the sale of these to guests.
  • To ensure you and the team assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.
  • To ensure the security of the premises and storage areas is maintained at all times.
  • To ensure the fixtures and equipment are properly maintained and presented to Hastings standards.
  • To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
  • To ensure the hotel's compliance with all matters relating to licensing laws, Customs and Excise Regulations and all other relevant legislation.
  • Any other duties as required by Management.

Required Criteria:

  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom.
  • Educated to Level 2 (GCSE) or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Mathematics.
  • Previous hospitality experience.
  • A professional appearance.
  • Ability to deliver an exceptional standard of customer service.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve success.

Desired Criteria:

  • Educated to Level 6 (Undergraduate Degree) or the equivalent, in a relevant field such as Tourism and Hospitality Management or working towards.
  • Previous supervisory experience gained in a high-quality establishment.
