A leading Manufacturing company that has been thriving on a Global scale, are looking to bring in a HSE Officer to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual to join a company that offers a fantastic working environment and structure. This is a Permanent role - based out of the company's Dungannon site. Salary Fully Negotiable - highly competitive rate of pay for the role which is negotiable based on experience + Great Benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are in place, communicated and enforced, and systems and procedures required daily, weekly, monthly and annual are correctly implemented in time.
  • Ensures the company is compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with HSE and other Enforcing Authorities on behalf of the company when required to do so.
  • Carry out workplace inspection audits.
  • Conduct fire drills to ensure all employees understand what to do in case of emergency and to ensure that the equipment is working sufficiently.
  • Conduct investigations into accidents, emergencies and near misses to determine causes and preventative measures.
  • Provide information, advice and support to the management team on all aspects of Health and safety across the site.
  • Conduct training with employees to ensure that they are aware of the regulations and procedures and provide guidance and ensures training is up to date.
  • Compile, analyze and interpret statistical data related to occupational illnesses and accidents.
  • Chair Health and Safety Committee meetings; coordinate meetings, agendas, minutes and follow-up on action plans.
  • Maintain the ISO System at the designated site.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Certificate in Nebosh or equivalent, diploma would be advantageous.
  • Previous Health & Safety Experience.
