They are currently seeking a GIS Engineer for a permanent position. The company focusses on modern geotechnics and foundation engineering, emphasising innovation and development to tackle challenges effectively. As an international leader in ground-engineering solutions, they collaborate with major construction companies across the UK and Ireland. Your new role We\’re seeking a highly capable and motivated GIS Engineer to join their growing team. This is a new and dynamic role offering exposure to all aspects of surveying-from traditional engineering techniques to UAV operations and advanced geospatial data processing. Key Responsibilities: Process aerial data using Pix4D, DroneDeploy, DJI Terra, and LiDAR tools Generate orthomosaics, DSMs/DTMs, point clouds, 3D models, and more Conduct engineering setting out using total stations and GPS/GNSS systems Perform GIS analysis and integrate spatial data into CAD workflows Support thermal inspections and NDVI/multispectral analysis for agriculture Maintain quality control and assist with client reporting and quotations What you\’ll need to succeed Candidates for GIS Engineering role must have: Degree in Geospatial Engineering, Surveying, Remote Sensing, Civil Engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience in surveying and geospatial data processing Proficiency in Pix4D, Drone Deploy, DJI Terra, ArcGIS/QGIS, and AutoCAD Experience with RTK/PPK drones, GNSS systems, and total stations Strong understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and remote sensing A full UK driving licence is required for travelling to sites within the UK.
