MYM Recruitment are working with our new client who are seeking a motivated and ambitious General Manager tolead our internal teams and drive operational excellence across the business, based at their headquarters in Banbridge, Co. Down. As General Manager, youll oversee multiple departments including Sales, Surveying, Estimating, Production Planning, and Admin. You will also be directly responsible for managing the Production Manager and ensuring the efficient and high-quality execution of all production activities. Key Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate a cross-functional team of sales, surveyors, estimators, production planners, and administrators Manage and support the Production Manager, overseeing day-to-day production operations, ensuring schedules are met, and maintaining consistent output quality Oversee end-to-end project operations, from client on boarding through to final delivery Manage the supply chain to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials without compromising quality Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong working relationships Oversee quality control across projects to ensure consistency and compliance Complete and manage technical submittals for each project Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure audit readiness Collaborate closely with the production planner to meet project deadlines and client expectations Drive process improvements and efficiencies across all operational functions Support business development by identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing client relationships Participate in final negotiations with clients and support contract closures Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity to support strategic decision-making Essential Criteria: Proven experience in an operations management role, ideally within the joinery or manufacturing sector Strong leadership capabilities and experience in managing cross-functional teams Demonstrated experience in production oversight and working with or managing production managers Solid understanding of production planning, supply chain logistics, and quality assurance processes Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities Proficiency with operational tools such as ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Staff Management Operations Manager General Manager Oversee production and planning ERP CRM Negotiation
