The Role The General Assistant role at Healthcare Ireland is a blended role, working with the Housekeeping and Kitchen team to assist with the day-to-day operations of the Home. The General Assistants in our Homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, housekeeping and laundry functions, ensuring that residents receive high-quality meals and have a clean environment. The role is essential in the wellbeing of our residents through the provision of high-quality, person-centred surroundings. Working as part of the Kitchen and Housekeeping team, reporting to the Housekeeper and Chef, the role is about a lot more than preparing and serving meals and cleaning the General Assistant will support with ensuring the dietary needs of our residents are met in addition to contributing to a clean and tidy environment for our residents. About The Role Main Responsibilities Ensure the expected standards are achieved throughout the home Cover domestic, kitchen and laundry duties training in all 3 areas provided Identify and report any damage, faults or other issues to maintenance or management Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule Use and store cleaning products in accordance to COSHH regulations Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
