The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the maintenance team in ensuring plant reliability, minimising downtime, and improving equipment performance. Working a bi-weekly shift pattern (one week of days, one week of afternoons/evenings, Monday to Friday), responsibilities include:
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance across all areas of the plant
- Diagnosing faults and responding quickly to breakdowns and emergency callouts
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
- Inspecting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Supporting continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities
- Working closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates efficiently
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Promoting and adhering to all health, safety, and environmental standards
The Person
We're keen to hear from candidates with maintenance or mechanical experience in an industrial environment, but transferable skills and the right attitude are equally important. You may bring:
- Experience in mechanical maintenance, fault finding, or equipment repair
- Exposure to welding, cutting, grinding, or similar mechanical processes
- Experience working with PPM systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to use your own initiative
