Gentech Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a prestigious resort in Enniskillen, currently seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join their growing team.

The Role

As an Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving conference, wedding, and event bookings while delivering an exceptional customer experience from initial enquiry through to event confirmation. You will showcase the resort, build strong client relationships, and ensure every event is planned with accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to conference, wedding, and event enquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct show rounds of the resort for prospective clients, with the aim of converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
  • Prepare and issue tailored proposals within agreed service standards.
  • Coordinate all event bookings using Opera and other internal systems, ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Liaise with the reservations team regarding guest accommodation and room allocations where required.
  • Prepare booking documentation, rooming lists, and function sheets with complete event details.
  • Update function sheets daily and communicate any amendments to relevant departments.
  • Maximise revenue opportunities by promoting meeting rooms, conference facilities, accommodation, and additional resort services.
  • Arrange client meetings and assist in planning client events alongside the management team.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and monitor competitor activity and market trends.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly function meetings, ensuring all departments are fully briefed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the booking process.
  • Carry out any additional duties as requested by management.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in an Events Coordinator, Conference & Events, or similar hospitality role.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bookings simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
  • Confident negotiating with clients and building long-term relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience using Opera is advantageous.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
