Due to growth, we are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join our team. The Transport Planner will be responsible for coordinating and optimising the transportation of goods and materials in the most utilising way, ensuring efficient routes and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain management.

Shift Pattern: 50 hours per week - full time day shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the drivers are effectively managed.
  • Manage driver and vehicle scheduling to ensure all deliveries/collections meet customers' expectations.
  • Deal with any issues that arise, and problem solve effectively.
  • Ensure activities within operations are carried out with the highest regard and in accordance with legal, environmental and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Previous transport planning experience.
  • Knowledge of Tachograph and WTD.
  • Excellent customer service skills to deal with customers, drivers and third parties.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
