Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Working with hand and power tools, panel saws etc
- Working to set production targets
- Ability to safely move production parts
- Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of machines
- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures
- Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs
- Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system
- Adherence to company health and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean and tidy works area
Role Requirements
- Previous experience working in a joinery workshop
- Sound joinery background and experience of working with hand and power tools, panel saws etc
- Experience of working with other tradesmen and a good general joinery background
- Proven literacy and numeracy skills
- Able to communicate problems/issues to all team members
- Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
- Ability to adjust to change e.g. job machine/process
- Ability to fault find, troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve issues
- Comply with quality regulations & standards, attention to detail
- Available to work flexible hours when required with notice
