Location: Hatchery Operations

Shift Pattern (4-Week Rotation)

  • Week 1: 04:30-12:30 (Mon-Sat)
  • Week 2: 08:00-16:00 (Mon-Fri)
  • Week 3: 15:30-23:30 (Mon-Thu)
  • Week 4: 08:00-16:00 (Mon-Fri)

We're looking for a proactive and highly skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to support the smooth and efficient running of our hatchery operations. In this key role, you'll ensure all incubators and associated equipment are maintained to the highest standards, minimising downtime and supporting strong operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the reliable operation of all incubators, hatchers, and ancillary hatchery equipment
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns promptly
  • Investigate faults as soon as they are identified and implement timely corrective actions
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Support compliance with health, safety, welfare, and biosecurity standards
  • Assist with engineering projects, upgrades, and equipment installations

Essential

  • Recognised Mechanical and/or Electrical qualification (Level 4 or above in at least one discipline)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Responsible, proactive attitude
  • High attention to detail

Desirable

  • Computer literate
  • Previous hatchery maintenance experience
