Driver with Labouring Duties up to 7.5t We are recruiting for a Driver with Labouring Duties up to 7.5t to join the Team at Mid & East Antrim Borough Council on a temporary basis. The role will be based at Larne Depot, Victoria Road, Larne. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB Complete duties relating to driving and being responsible for a vehicle, equipment, crew etc. completing duties as part of a set work schedule for waste collection, cleansing, recycling and street cleansing. Work individually or as part of a team to complete a range of duties including operating and being responsible for allocated equipment, working in co-operation with other crew members. Completion of daily/weekly work schedules in relation to allocated duties. Take responsibility for the safety, supervision and transportation of the crew, ensuring crew members comply with operational procedures whilst carrying out their duties and dealing with queries from members of the public or referring to the postholder\’s line manager as appropriate. (Full job specification available upon request) Hours of Work: Successful candidates will be required to work 37 hours per week, working days and hours will be defined based on location and role within the organisation. Given the nature of their duties, the post holder will be expected to work outside of these hours at weekends, evenings and public holidays as dictated by the needs of the service. Mid and East Antrim Borough Council does not operate a Task and Finish Procedure. Essential Criteria: Applicants must have: Valid Category C1 Driving Licence Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card A minimum of one years\’ continuous driving experience Any penalty points active on the driving licence must be declared along with the relevant code. These will then be assessed for relevance of the duties of the post.
