Vickerstock are working in partnership with a growing food manufacturing business on the appointment of a Dispatch Supervisor on a full-time permanent basis. As the Dispatch Supervisor, you will organise the storage and distribution of goods ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost while maintaining high standards pertaining to food safety and quality. In your new role: Manage stock levels and coordinate order assembly to meet customer requirements, ensuring achievement of \"On Time In Full\" (OTIF) delivery targets. Allocate and oversee staffing levels in response to operational needs, maintaining effective labour control. Liaise and negotiate with both internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure smooth operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance against key performance indicators (KPIs). Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards, waste reduction practices, and Lean Management principles. Manage and develop team members through coaching, training, performance reviews, and absence management. Motivate and engage the team to maintain high morale and productivity. Oversee daily operations, including product picking, dispatch time recording, temperature and quality checks, transport vehicle loading, documentation accuracy (labels, dockets), staff scheduling, and waste recording. Coordinate with hauliers to manage outbound logistics, reducing yard congestion and supporting OTIF delivery targets. Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues or non-conformances identified during internal audits. What you will need to succeed: Previous experience in food manufacturing/cold store/transport environment Related qualifications such as food h&s, logistics, transport.
