This opportunity is for a talented Head of Sales to join us, based in Crumlin, County Antrim, managing both established and prospective markets across North Africa. Location: Onsite, 55 Diamond Road, Crumlin, BT29 4QY. Regular travel to North African countries will be required.
Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week.
What does this role involve?
- This role will focus on driving our market expansion plans in North Africa, while also delivering across our existing sales targets via effective distributor management.
- The successful candidate will also build and manage a high performing sales team, with the expectation of coaching and regular customer visits with your team.
- Developing and implement market expansions for a diverse product portfolio to increase sales.
- Negotiating with senior stakeholders and implementing growth strategies.
- Direct management of a sales team: Sales Executives, Tele Sales, Sales Support etc.
- Recruit, train and develop the Sales team to exceptional Sales/Business Development Executives and Team Leads.
- Management of key accounts and distributors.
- Accurately forecast and deliver on monthly/quarterly sales revenue targets.
- Liaising with other internal departments such as Logistics, Marketing, Finance, QA etc.
- Attend industry specific seminars and exhibitions as required.
- Regular travel to visit customers (30% travel).
Who can apply?
Essential criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, including 2-3 years managing commercial teams.
- Relevant industry experience would be ideal (Medical Diagnostics, Life Science, Biotech) but not essential.
- Proven track record of leading and growing commercial teams in North Africa.
- Someone who can implement best practices to foster and lead internal partnerships with the focus on customers.
- Skilled in managing and coaching through the full sales cycle.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Life Science degree or medical sales background.
- Face to Face/Field based sales experience.
- Stable work history showing progression.
