Your new company is a specialist production facility in the Portadown area, working Monday to Friday from 7am to 4pm. They supply a UK-wide customer base with a high-end product and have a small team that maintains a high production rate and company turnover. Your new role involves being a hands-on maintenance engineer in a stand-alone position. This is a multi-skilled but mechanically biased role in food production, involving equipment such as peelers, conveyors, mixers, optical sorters, and graders, all operating to process a high volume product. You will identify areas for improvement that will enhance the performance and availability of the machines through preventative, reactive, and improved maintenance.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Hands-on experience in mechanical fault-finding, inspection, and repairs
- Ability to replace all mechanical components
- Basic light electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills
- Ability to deliver improvements and quickly resolve issues
What you'll get in return:
Working hours are from 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, with an hourly pay rate of up to £20 per hour depending on your experience. A work van is provided for home use in the evenings and for collecting spares when required.
