The IT Support role will provide first line technical support across the organisation, assisting in the effective operation and daily support of the company network, systems and processes. The successful candidate will gain valuable hands-on experience by contributing to a range of ongoing and future IT infrastructure and upgrade projects, while providing support to users across multiple office and site locations.
This role will involve providing technical assistance to end users, maintaining IT systems and infrastructure, configuring and deploying hardware, troubleshooting software issues, and ensuring all devices and technology assets operate efficiently and effectively throughout the business.
The role of the IT Support will be varied and will include:
- Providing technical support for hardware, software and associated peripherals/devices across multiple company sites in Northern Ireland and UK Mainland
- Installing, configuring and maintaining operating systems to agreed company standards
- Proactively checking alert systems for identification of issues before they arise
- Performing upgrades, new installations and routine procedures on site infrastructure
- Troubleshooting system, server and network problems and diagnosing hardware and software faults
- Assisting with the administration of backups, antivirus systems and IT security processes
- Supporting Office 365 administration including user accounts and system management
- Assisting with IT asset management and maintaining accurate records of company equipment
- Supporting the IT team with ongoing system upgrades and improvement projects
Essential Criteria
- 3rd level education and a background within a similar IT Support environment.
- Office 365 Desktop Apps (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Experience of Office365 administration including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint
- Good communication required with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Full Drivers license
- Experience using Microsoft BC is desired but not essential
