Leprino is seeking to appoint a Forklift Operative on a permanent basis. The role is based at the Magheralin site working within the Stores Department. The successful candidates will be required to locate and dispatch finished product through Stores, ensuring product is rotated and dispatched in accordance with PSOPs. The position requires strong teamwork, a proactive attitude, and effective problem-solving abilities to maintain operational efficiency. The successful candidates will be required to:
- Participate in shift changeover brief.
- Review dispatch notes and plan at commencement of shift.
- Contribute information for adjustment of despatch plans.
- Ensure timely and accurate records are maintained in relation to pallet numbers and deliveries as required.
- Maintain communication with key operatives and team members in other departments e.g., packing and QA, with regards to their requirements.
- Monitor accuracy of assembled orders, product codes pick lists and raw materials to ensure customer / shipping requirements are correct and delivered in full.
- Ensure correct specification, quantities of goods dispatched.
- Picking / Loading of outbound goods and responsibility for racking finished product into accurate location.
- Assist with movement of supplies and raw materials throughout the site.
- Monthly stock reviews.
The successful candidates must have:
- Essential: Ability to undertake manual handling tasks as required.
- Basic level of numeracy and literacy sufficient to enable the post holder to read and check labels, calculate product quantities, work to picklists, and communicate in writing.
- Must have full valid counterbalance licence and High Reach - must have a full licence.
- Relevant experience within a stores / warehousing environment departments using a counterbalance and reach forklift plus, other mechanical handling aids such as powers pallet trucks.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge of safe working practices are applied in the stores environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to display initiative and apply problem solving skills.
- Able to plan and organise tasks effectively.
- Able to undertake a shift work pattern and swap between shifts as required.
Desirable: Valid shunter licence. Relevant experience within a food production stores / despatch environment.
