About your next employer

VANRATH are pleased to be supporting an innovative employer in Craigavon in the recruitment of an Interim Financial Accountant for an initial 3-month contract. This key role has been created to provide additional support during a busy reporting period, with a particular focus on financial accounting, statutory compliance, and audit readiness. Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team, you will take ownership of core general ledger activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities.

About you

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent), Qualified by Experience will be considered with demonstrable experience
  • Previous experience in a financial accounting role within a manufacturing or multinational environment
  • Strong understanding of general ledger processes and statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits
  • Working knowledge of VAT returns and Intrastat reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
  • Available to start at short notice

What you'll do

  • Lead the preparation of financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards
  • Support year-end and interim audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor queries
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure ongoing indirect tax compliance
  • Manage Intrastat reporting and other statutory filing requirements
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
  • Support month-end close activities from a financial accounting perspective
  • Assist with ad hoc financial projects and compliance initiatives as required
