We are working with a leading employer based in Portadown to recruit for a Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to be part of their finance team. This is a full-time permanent role with flexible working hours.
The Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant will be responsible for:
- Managing credit control and ensuring customer balances are collected within agreed terms, while resolving invoice and payment queries.
- Maintaining customer accounts, including setup, VAT validation, credit terms, cash allocation, journals, credit notes, and aged debt reporting.
- Supporting management accounts and wider finance tasks, including bank reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, intercompany reconciliations, VAT returns, reporting, and audit support.
- Processing expenses and company card transactions, allocating costs accurately, and supporting system and process improvements.
What you will need to have for the Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant role:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience of invoicing and credit control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Proficient in MS Office to include Excel.
